Rihanna's Cosmopolitan magazine cover and spread.

I bought a Cosmopolitan magazine the other day featuring Rihanna on the cover and an article inside. There are a lot of points i can say about this magazine and Rihanna in it:

• The front cover is in the eye-view of children and women. The sections on the shelf where this magazine is found is where all of the other womans magazines are, so the mag is borrowing interest from other mags.
• If an audience likes the magazine, they will buy it without the intention of specifically reading about Rihanna. If the audience likes Rihanna, it is very likely that that audience will buy the magazine just because she is on it. This is borrowed interest which works.
• The front cover photo is more tame compared to the inside spread - probably because kids are going to see it when its on the shelf. The magazine is sealed in a bad so it cannot be looked in when in the shop - this gives the magazine more of a chance to be riskier inside the mag.
• The magazine is aimed at women over 18, however, there are no lawed constrictions to who can buy it.
